Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians and/or Owners of these lands, skies and waters.
We honour our Elders — past and present — and the giants whose shoulders we stand on today. Their strength grounds us. Their legacy inspires us.
We recognise the lasting impact of colonisation, and the systems and structures that continue to sustain the status quo.
We stand in solidarity with our people — committed to shifting the balance, righting the systems, and contributing to a just and empowered future for our children, families and communities.
First Nations Alliance proudly acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
We also acknowledge the grief and loss Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have endured by the harm caused by invasion resulting in historical, cultural and intergenerational trauma. We also acknowledge the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people being the oldest living culture in the world and we stand in solidarity with our people now and always.
